Ensayos ambientales

Environmental tests are used to verify and analyse the behavior of equipment, devices and/or materials that during their operational life may be subjected to specific environmental conditions. ITE performs different tests to simulate these contexts.

  • Variations in temperature and humidity. It is important to measure the temperature and relative humidity around a final product to ensure that it doesn’t rise above a certain level.
  • Thermal shock. Study of rapid temperature variations due to stresses originating within a material.
  • Salt Mist. Tests are carried out to determine its corrosive power.
  • Corrosion cycles. Experiments are performed to simulate corrosive environments to determine the strength of materials.
  • Aging and endurance tests. This concerns accelerating aging to measure the durability of the material.

These tests are aimed at SMEs and large companies in working on designing new materials, as well as the manufacture of components and/or electrical/electronic products. Through this laboratory they will be able to evaluate the behaviour of materials, components and equipment under normal or extreme climatic conditions, according to customer specifications or national and international standards.

The objective is to define the behaviour of the materials and/or products throughout their useful life and in the different climatic conditions for which they will be designed, so that a guarantee can be given for these products during the useful life established by the manufacturers.
