ITE 2022 financial year

Non-financial activities of the Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE). 2022 financial year

Description

ITE as a Technology Centre focused on the energy environment seeks to provide solutions to the needs of Valencian companies through the generation of knowledge of high added value. To achieve these ends, the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) has supported activities to generate knowledge (independent R&D), disseminate results and transfer them to Valencian companies through the agreement signed in 2021 between the two entities to enhance the activity and capacity of the centre.

Objectives

The main objective is the dissemination and transfer in its 4 strategic lines, which are: Networks of the future; sustainable mobility; energy storage; and sustainability and circular economy.

Results

The results of the research activity have been focused on responding to the following objectives:

LE-A. NETWORKS OF THE FUTURE

O1: Research the robustness of network communications.

O2: Deepen the intelligent management and health status of network assets and other electrical devices.

O3: Develop technological solutions that enable the deployment of CELPs

O4: Promote innovative solutions in the sustainable habitat environment

O5: Research solutions that contribute to the decarbonization of cities.

LE-B. SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY.

O1: Knowledge and solutions for recharging stations.

O2: Develop mobility solutions that make it possible to achieve sustainable cities.

O3: Develop digital twins in the mobility environment.

LE-C. ENERGY STORAGE.

O1: Research new materials and techniques for Li-ion batteries and other energy applications.

O2: Research new materials for ZN-Air batteries.

O3: Research new materials for Redox Flow batteries.

O4: Deepen aspects of the circular economy associated with batteries.

O5. Acquire knowledge in the modeling of battery behaviour under different operating conditions.

O6: Research critical parameters for the quality of the battery module design process.

O7: Research in the scaling and improvement of processes to obtain new generation lithium cells.

O8: Research into the reuse and recycling of batteries

O9: Development of battery control electronics.

O10: Research in the field of new H2-based storage solutions

O11: Investigation into the use of hydrogen for application in industrial processes.

LE-D. SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY.

O1: Greater knowledge of industrial processes and the generation of productive energy twins.

O2: Drive knowledge of sustainable carbon-based solutions for different energy and environmental applications.

O3: Advance research in the field of biopiles and biosensors (energy harvesting).

These actions have received support through the collaboration agreement signed in 2022 between the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the Technological Institute of Energy (ITE) to strengthen ITE's activity and capacity to develop excellence in independent R&D, disseminate the results of research carried out and facilitate and promote the transfer of knowledge to companies in the Valencian Community.
