First, partial discharge studies seek to verify that the cable insulation is free of partial discharges above a specified magnitude at a specified voltage. For this purpose, ITE has:

  • Measurement equipment of partial discharges under the UNE-EN 60270 standard. We have a laboratory at the UPV and are accredited by ENAC
  • Measurement and advice on partial discharges in the field (R&D projects) in medium voltage cables and accessories, medium voltage insulators, medium voltage power transformers
  • Qualification of technicians
  • Specialization courses: Measurements of partial discharges in medium voltage cables. Secondly, electrostatics studies include:
  • Electrostatic measurements and consulting
  • Development and testing of new materials:
  • Polymeric piezoelectrics
  • Elastomers
  • Design and development of new piezoelectric sensors for new applications
  • Elastomer testing for use as actuators
  • Characterization of electrical properties of materials (resistivity, load dissipation, rigidity, etc.)

Our objective is to provide process support to manufacturers of electrical and electrical equipment (TSO and DSO), suppliers of insulating materials and electrical installers.
