In this project a Smart system has been developed to promote the increase of energy efficiency in grids of buildings or establishments through the design and development of a technological platform based on information and communication technologies.
This system has a monitoring and management software for lighting and air-conditioning system that represent the 80% of the energy consumption of this kind of building. This tool permits to supervise, analyze and control centrally the energy consumption of lighting and air conditioning.
The system has an advanced analysis algorithm for the obtainment of consumption patterns of different facilities, the prediction of consumption according to weather conditions and the consumption history of each facility.
Moreover, it includes an automatic system that supports the decision-making, by creating recommendations for the connection/disconnection of consumer elements and for the calibration of their performance parameters with the aim of saving energy preserving certain comfort standards.
The aim of the project is to develop a tool that is able to calculate energy savings, to predict consumption and to detect automatically anomalous situations in business establishments’ grids in order to contribute to the environmental sustainability and the reduction of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.

Energy savings expected from the implementation of this system is up to 25% in business establishments’ grids, since this tool is able to supervise, analyze and control centrally the energy consumption of lighting and air conditioning of many establishments at the same time.
The benefits of this project are focused on the reduction of energy consumption, in addition it ensures short-term returns on the investment and it simplifies the management of lighting and air-conditioning systems. Moreover, unnecessary costs are cut back and it is increased the value of social commitment of the mark using it.
