Measurement equipment degrades with use, transport and time, so that it is necessary to carry out periodic calibrations, in order to keep the traceability and reliability of measurements.
According to the Low-Voltage Electro-technical Regulations, every installation engineer must carry out a series of verifications on electrical installations by using technical tools. Authorized technician must ensure at all time the operational and calibration status of the electrical equipments.
The main types of calibration are:
- Multimeters and milliamp clamp meters.
- Insulation resistance testers.
- Earth resistance testers.
- Low voltage networks testers.
- Leakage current testers.
- Differential testers.
- Relay testers.
- Wattmeters, wattmeter clamps y network analysers.
- Active and reactive energy testers.
- Dielectric strength testers.
- Analog and digital oscilloscope.
ITE’s Calibration Laboratory has the only one accreditation granted in the Valencian Community by the Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) on DC and Low-Frequency Electricity areas and on Power and Energy areas with the accreditation number 39/LC10.099, that permits to perform calibration of a large variety of electrical instrumentation equipment.
This accreditation confirms the technical competence of the laboratory according to the requirements established in the EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and it ensures the reliability of the measuring.
