The next edition of the National Congress CIGRE, which will take place on 22 and 23 November in Madrid, will boast the participation of ITE in its technical meetings, joining 3 round tables together with the main national electricity companies such as REE, Endesa, Iberdrola, Gas Natural and Viesgo, and also with companies and research centers of the sector.
Within the issue «management of actives», ITE contributes its knowledge on cable aging. Pedro Llovera will be the spokesman explaining our experience and the results of the Project “IDVUC – Evaluation of insulated power cables life”, carried out by REE.
As for distribution grid monitoring, within the integration of new technologies in the grid of the future, we will present out researches on monitoring of faults in medium voltage underground cables carried out through partial discharge techniques within the project MATUSALEN, financied by MINECO within the call RETOS.
Finally, ITE will also participate in the research committee “Information and communication systems” where Ignacio Benítez will present the work carried out on the characterization and classification of customers based on temporal load patterns, using different prediction techniques and algorithms it has been developed a tool that group together/classify customers depending on similar energy consumption profiles. This work was selected as one of the «Best of» in the last session of Cigré 2016 that took place last August in France.
