ITE participated with the presentation of the project Energetically Smart City – CEI in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016, which took place in Barcelona on the 15th, 16th and 17th of November. The “presentation” was included in the Solutions to Improve Urban Mobility and Achieve Sustainable Development, where the main actors in the field of mobility dealt with the challenges faced by the cities while using Smart technologies, providing innovative solutions to reduce traffic and CO2 emissions, thus improving life in cities.
The project CEI developed by ITE, with the collaboration of the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática, started in 2014 and is going to be completed by the end of 2016, resulting in the creation of a platform to manage energy resources of urban environments, with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. This last year of the project it is being developed a real pilot in the facilities of each center.
Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is the international summit of discussion about the link between urban reality and technological revolution. Since its first edition in 2011, it has succeeded to become a referential global event to support the development of our cities.
This project is cofunded by the Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
