The European Project Office of ITE consolidates its work improving the possibilities to get European funding of Horizon 2020 through the programme for technology centers
The Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía carried out, within the strategy aimed at strengthening its European Project Office, a series of activities during 2015 and 2016, with the aim of consolidating its work.
In order to achieve these goals, the Institute got funding through the call Europa Centros Tecnológicos, addressed to technology centers and launched by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (ECT-2015-0168).
With this financial aid, ITE had the opportunity of working hard on the preparation of proposals, enhancing the participation of Spanish companies.
Moreover, we enlarged our international participation attending many events such as meeting and workshops of the sector, which allow us to seek collaboration opportunities for proposals and projects.
In addition, it was promoted also personnel training by participating in different calls of European programmes within the interests of the Institute.
The results we obtained are shown by the submission of project proposals to the European calls of the Programme Horizon 2020 within the lines of Industrial Leadership (Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Production) and Societal Challenges (Energy-Efficient Buildings, Competitive Low-Carbon Energy, Energy Efficiency), Transport (Green Vehicles, Urban Mobility) and Smart and Sustainable Cities, currently participating in consortiums of approved projects within the area of Competitive Low-Carbon Energy.
