• The pilot test has been successfully carried out in the facilities of the ice Factory of the Cofradía de Pescadores de Castellón
AUDITESA developed, with the collaboration of the Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE) and Innova Estudi Soft, the project PIEE, a monitoring platform for improving energy efficiency and detecting anomalous situations in energy-consuming installations, with the aim of optimize production costs depending on the dynamic purchasing in the wholesale electricity market.
In order to achieve this goal, it has been developed a production demand forecasting tool integrated with an energy purchase cost forecasting one, in a 15 days future scenario.
Both information flows are used for a production planner that permits to obtain the best solution in terms of energy savings. Finally, by monitoring the production systems it will be possible to act in real time on them in case of detection of incidents or anomalies.
The energy savings achieved through the implementation of this platform has been up to 25%, in the ice Factory of the Cofradía de Pescadores de Castellón, where the pilot test was carried out.
The solution proposed, in addition to an advanced technical development, aspires to have positive effects from the socio-economic impact og the project, as well as to incentive environment preservation, since the massive implementation of the system can imply important reductions of CO2 emissions thanks to the optimization of energy management in the facilities.
For PIEE, ITE will develop an integrated software management platform for the field data collection with processing, forecast in «cloud» and management from mobile devices.
PIEE is funded by EEA_GRANTS, the European programme that approved the project and awarded the grant to the Valencian company Auditesa.
